Margot Ladwig Lane was raised in Colorado Springs and graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1956 and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from UCCS. She married John Lane in 1958 and together they raised three children, David, Philip, and Bruce. A believer in giving back to her community, she founded the John and Margot Lane Foundation and was incredibly active in many community organizations such as the Junior League, Pikes Peak United Way, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pikes Peak YMCA, Care and Share, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, UCCS, Young Life, and First Presbyterian Church.

Zach is a graduate of Colorado Christian University and Harvard Divinity School. After completing the El Pomar Foundation Fellowship program, he went on to found and lead Atlas Preparatory School for nearly a decade.  Zach has worked as CEO of the John and Margot Lane Foundation and Director of the Katherine and Dusty Loo Foundation, and has served the community as Urban Renewal Authority Commissioner, Founding Trustee of the Colorado Springs Health Foundation, and Colorado Charter Facility Solutions board member.

Rebecca is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Pace University in New York City, and Columbia University Teachers College. She was part of the 2003 NYC Teach For America Corps, and taught middle school in the Bronx, NY for seven years. After moving to Colorado Springs she joined Atlas Preparatory School as a reading teacher, and went on to serve as a school leader and Principal for the next ten years. Other professional experience includes working with local arts organizations, board service, and volunteering. Rebecca’s husband is a US Army veteran and they have two young daughters.
